Rules for a useful, friendly and safe Wotchd community

The short version

Wotchd is designed for trusted recommendations between people who know each other. Be genuine, respect boundaries, keep recommendations relevant and do not post or send anything illegal, abusive or harmful.

1. Be respectful

• Discuss films and programmes, not personal attacks.
• Do not bully, harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk or repeatedly contact someone who does not want contact.
• Do not target people with hateful or degrading content based on protected or personal characteristics.
• Respect another person's decision not to connect, reply or receive recommendations.

2. Keep people safe

• Do not encourage, threaten, organise or facilitate violence or other criminal activity.
• Do not share content that sexually exploits anyone, depicts child sexual abuse, promotes terrorism, facilitates fraud, encourages serious self-harm or is otherwise illegal.
• Do not share private or identifying information about another person without permission.
• If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services. Wotchd is not an emergency service.

3. Share content you have the right to share

• Write reviews and comments in your own words and do not upload copyrighted images or text unless you have permission or a lawful right to do so.
• Do not impersonate another person or mislead people about who you are.
• Do not post deceptive reviews, manipulate ratings or coordinate inauthentic activity.

4. No spam or unauthorised commercial activity

• Do not send bulk, repetitive or unwanted invitations, friend requests, recommendations or messages.
• Do not advertise, solicit business, run promotions or share affiliate links without Wotchd's written permission.
• Do not use automated tools to create accounts, collect information or interact with members.

5. Reporting and consequences

Report content or conduct from the menu on any review or comment, by choosing Report. You can also remove or block someone at any time. Do not make knowingly false or abusive reports. For a safety concern, email contact@wotchd.com.

Depending on the circumstances, Wotchd may remove content, reduce its visibility, warn a member, restrict features, suspend or close an account, preserve evidence or contact relevant authorities. Members may ask for a decision to be reviewed by emailing support@wotchd.com.
