Tracking and App Technologies Notice

1. What we use at launch

Wotchd uses its own internal telemetry to operate, secure, diagnose and improve the app and website. This may record technical events such as feature use, errors, app version, device or operating-system type, timestamps and related identifiers. It is stored on our own systems, not with an analytics company.

We also use technologies needed for sign-in and communications, including Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, AWS SES, Expo's push service, Apple Push Notification Service and Firebase Cloud Messaging. These services may use tokens or identifiers needed to authenticate you or deliver the message you requested.

The app keeps a few small settings on your device, such as whether you have dismissed a prompt, so it works the way you left it.

2. Essential and measurement technologies

Some storage or access is strictly necessary to provide a feature you request, keep an account secure or transmit a communication. Other measurement may be permitted without consent only where a specific legal exemption applies and all of its conditions are met. Where consent is required, the relevant technology must remain off until you choose to allow it.

Even where consent is not required, we describe personal-information use in our Privacy Notice and provide any information or opt-out required by law.

3. Technologies not used at launch

At launch, Wotchd does not use Meta advertising technology, Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics or another external analytics or advertising suite. This notice will be updated before any such tool is introduced.

4. Your controls

You can manage push notifications in your device settings and, where available, within Wotchd. If optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, Wotchd will provide the consent and preference controls required for those technologies.

5. Updates
